For new years eve we went on another big excursion looking for adventures, fun and happiness. This time we visited Napels, this chaotic and sympathic city at the foot of the Vesuvio. For a form of art so misunderstood as street art, it is only natural to find roof within a neighborhood equally - for many people- misunderstood. A lively area, constantly alerted and restless, mysterious and colorful. Exarchia, located in the centre of Athens. In this film we collect moments of the urban scenery of Exarchia and the culture behind it. Exarchia's walls and streets, interviews with art specialists, residents of Exarchia and of course street artists who talk with us about this subculture and controversial subject. A long but fast movie (42 minutes), dressed with underground greek music, which apart from the presentation of the participants' opinion, is an archive (2013-2015) of beautiful, ugly, imaginative and politically oriented graffiti in Exarchia. Urban Art Ventures project seeks to reactivate and revitalise urban spaces of Thessaloniki through street art and cultural activities and give to the local people and the international participants, a chance to explore the possibilities of engagement in the cultural life and the development urban landscape of Thessaloniki. 35 urban artists and street performers as well as urban art educators from Serbia, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom were gathered in Thessaloniki, Greece from 20 to 29 September 2015 to share their experiences, best practices and knowledge regarding the use of urban art as a medium to promote active participation, understanding, respect for the other as well as for public spaces and to contribute to the urban art of Thessaloniki by creating their urban artworks in collaboration with local urban artists from 22 to 27 September .
